Wheels(W), Tracks(T) & Rollers(R) Endorsements

If you drive a special-type vehicle that isn't a forklift on the road, you must have a Wheels (W), Tracks (T) or Rollers (R) Endorsement on your driver licence.

Wheels: The Wheels (W) endorsement is for vehicles that run on wheels that aren't forklift, passenger vehicles, tractors, fire engines, trades vehicles or recovery service vehicles.

Tracks: The Tracks (T) endorsement is for vehicles that run on self-laying tracks.

Rollers: The Rollers (R) endorsement is for vehicles that run on rollers.

What Happens next?

After successful completion of the theory assessment and practical assessments, Candrive will issue you with a NZTA certificate for each of the endorsements you achieved. Take it to your local driver licencing agent (AA or VTNZ) and apply to have the endorsement/s added to your driving licence.

You are now able to operate the machine/s endorsed on your New Zealand driving licence and after approximately 10 days you will receive your new photo licence in the mail.
