How to get your Class 6 Restricted Motorcycle Licence

THE CBTA CLASS 6 RESTRICTED LICENCE

The second stage in getting your motorcycle licence is to get your Restricted Licence. Prior to attending this course, you must have your Class 6 Learner Licence.

NO WAIT TIME - Once you have your Class 6 Learner Licence, under the CBTA assessment system there is NO MINIMUM time restriction for applying for your Restricted Licence- the only restriction is you must be at least 16½ years of age.

Successfully passed your Class 6 learner licence? Contact Candrive straight away to book your Class 6 restricted licence course; Call 027 20 40 700 or Email training@candrive.co.nz

Our CBTA Class 6 restricted assessment will take approximately 1½ hours in total with the actual assessment ride taking between 50 - 60 minutes and involves an assessment of your riding capability in and around both urban and rural roads.

What happens next?

After successful completion of the CBTA Class 6 restricted practical assessment, Candrive will issue you with a NZTA certificate for your restricted Class 6 licence. Take it to your local driver licencing office and they will issue you with a temporary paper licence with your restricted Class 6 licence endorsed on it. You are now able to ride a LAMS approved motorcycle.

We offer a range of options for your training, restricted and full licences; all have the option for you to either use our bike and gear or provide your own.
