Forklift Operator Certificate & F Endorsement

Gain knowledge and skills to safely use a Powered Industrial Lift Truck (Forklift).

Our courses are designed to improve operator skills, knowledge and safety awareness. Our forklift trainers are registered with “Competenz” as Certified Forklift Trainers who monitor on behalf of WorkSafe NZ

A trained forklift operator is the key behind ensuring the most effective and safe use of forklifts in the workplace. Being a trained and certified forklift operator requires a Forklift Operators Certificate as a minimum and if driving on a road, an F endorsement on your licence.

The Forklift Operators Certificate & F Endorsement can be completed separately or together.

We recommend that you complete a Forklift Operator Course at the same time as the (F) endorsement to cover both driver licencing and health and safety obligations.

An F endorsement is required if you drive a forklift on the road. Pre-requisite: You must hold a minimum of a full NZ Class 1 driving licence to attain this endorsement. Once completed, this remains on your licence.

The Forklift Operator Course allows you to operate a forklift in a workplace and is valid for three (3) years. To maintain (renew) your certification, you should attend a Forklift Operator Course at least every three (3) years.

Forklift Operator Course (new and renewals) covers the core theory and basic driving competence that is required to operate a forklift.

What happens next?

After successful completion of the theory and practical assessments, Candrive will issue you with a NZTA certificate for the F Endorsement. Take it to your local driver licencing agent (AA or VTNZ) and apply to have it added to your driving licence.

You are now licenced to drive a forklift on a road. (see FAQ's) and after approximately 10 days you will receive your new photo licence in the mail.

After successful completion of the Forklift Operator Course, you will be issued with a Forklift Operator E-Certificate which will be emailed to you.

You are now certified to operate a forklift
